Thoughtprint helps you notice patterns in your own words. It is not therapy, not crisis support, and never pressures you to keep recording.

If you need urgent help

Thoughtprint cannot help in an emergency. If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. In the UK, Samaritans are available 24/7 on 116 123. In the US, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Your own voice only

Thoughtprint resurfaces your own voice reflections. It is not therapy, counseling, medical advice, or a diagnosis.

No diagnosis

Automated outputs may label moods or themes in plain language. That is not a diagnosis, risk assessment, or treatment plan.

Not crisis support

Thoughtprint cannot monitor your safety or respond to emergencies. It does not have human moderators or clinicians on call.

Not therapy

You control your archive

Export, restore, or delete your reflections anytime from Archive and Settings. Nothing requires you to keep recording or stay active.

Silence is respected

There is no streak to maintain, no penalty for pausing, and reminders are off by default. Return when you want — your past words wait quietly.

Listening mode

Save voice without immediate interpretation. Your transcript and audio are kept — reflect later when it feels right.

If you need urgent help

Sharing outside the app

Share memory cards and exports only if you are comfortable. Transcript excerpts are off by default when copying share cards.

Sync and backup

Your journal (entries, recordings and photos) is stored on your phone, in an encrypted database. Thoughtprint's servers hold a copy only if you turn on a feature that sends one; each is listed on this page.

Cloud processing

If you turn on remote processing, Thoughtprint may send audio or transcript text to the app backend so it can transcribe and organize what you said. The result is returned to your archive. Remote processing is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time. Audio goes to OpenAI to be transcribed; text goes to Anthropic for reflections and questions, or to OpenAI when Anthropic isn't available. OpenAI also gets text if you upload notes for pattern exploration: it turns their text, and what you search or ask with, into a search index. Under their API terms, neither trains its models on this data, and each keeps it for up to 30 days, longer only if it is flagged for abuse or the law requires.
